“After all this time?” “Always.”
To say Tessa and Joe are in love is an understatement. Their energy and love for each other radiated the entire time, and it was such an honor to witness this union.
This whole day was absolutely perfect. It started with thoughtful gifts and intimate moments with their wedding party while they each got ready. We started at the Ace Hotel in Downtown LA, which by the way, is a BEAUTIFUL hotel perfectly located in the city. The old architecture and unique design was a perfect spot to get ready for an incredible day. As you can see, there were so many unique details that they included. These details each had significant meaning to their relationship and as a couple. Custom made wands and lightsabers were given to the bridesmaids and groomsmen before the ceremony! The mother of the bride made "flowers" out of book pages. She made the bride's bouquet, flowers for the bridesmaids, and boutonnieres for each of the groomsmen (which had lego Star Wars on them by the way!). Perhaps the most incredible detail was their wedding bands. Tessa and Joe had custom wedding bands that were engraved in elvish. "Till death do us part... and beyond." And of course, the only people they could get authentic elvish engraved rings from were the same people who created the ring for Lord of the Rings!! Details like these added to an incredibly thoughtful, emotional, and intentional day of celebration and love.
The ceremony was held at Honeypot, a beautiful wedding venue in Downtown Los Angeles. The mother of the bride also made the Harry Potter aisle runner and arch! Such a beautiful space with more details from Harry Potter and even Spiderman. Honeypot is a very versatile space. It's open, minimal layout allows for a flexible and customizable setup for any type of wedding! The natural light provides a dreamy and bright ambiance, perfect for a romantic setting. I'm so happy to have assisted with this wedding!
