The most beautiful spring day for an intimate backyard wedding in Los Angeles.
The most perfect start to wedding season! Bethany and Bobby got married with their closest friends and family at their church and had a lovely dinner in their backyard. Everything was perfect- the personal touches, the decorations, the warm weather. Small weddings like this really show the beauty of families coming together for the union of two people. The whole day felt like I was stepping into the relationship and Bethany and Bobby. Not in an intrusive way, but in a way that felt like I was being accepted and able to witness the special connection they have with each other. I feel so lucky that I was chosen to capture such an important and intimate day.
We started with some "getting ready photos" at Bethany's family home where her friends and mother were helping her with makeup and putting on her dress. We then made our way to their church, a large and beautiful building that was modern and minimalist. There, they had a traditional ceremony that was lead by Bobby's father, the pastor at that church. Of course, we did family photos at the church where the ceremony was held and then we did some wedding party photos at a nearby park. They only had a few close friends inter wedding party, which I thought was really sweet. The reception was held at Bethany's family home. Bethany and Bobby arrived to the beautifully decorated backyard filled with friends and family, and Bethany's parents performing a song on the violin and piano. Bobby and Bethany enjoyed the remainder of their time with the closest people in their lives with a gorgeous and intimate dinner set up. Every little detail was perfect and heartwarming.
